About Us

OUR STORY

Raey Children and Family Development Organization was founded on a vision to deliver society-based education and holistic ministry to vulnerable community members. Driven by a clear mission and faith, the organization began its journey by welcoming an initial group of 40 children recruited through local kebele leaders. During its foundational years, the founders labored tirelessly to build relationships through direct outreach, securing essential financial backing, material donations, and guidance from both local supporters and international partners.

Through strategic partnerships and continuous community support, Raey acquired a plot of land and constructed custom classrooms, establishing a fully equipped school facility. This milestone enabled the organization to deliver quality primary education and holistic care from Kindergarten through 4th Grade to children who previously lacked any access to learning opportunities. Over the years, these children—once facing severe hardship and hopelessness—have blossomed into thriving, lively students on track to become active, contributing citizens of their nation.

 

Beyond primary education, Raey expanded its scope to serve broader community needs, providing ongoing aid and holistic support to 13 helpless elderly individuals and 40 community members living with HIV. This transformative impact has been made possible by a dedicated team of teachers and staff who treat every beneficiary with genuine love, care, and consistent personal assistance.

Despite encountering continuous operational challenges over the years, the organization has persevered through remarkable determination, endurance, and strict adherence to government regulations and transparent budget reporting. Today, Raey continues to build on this rich legacy, inviting visionary individuals, donors, and stakeholders to join this noble work so it can sustain its vital programs and uplift even more families across the community.
